Battalion Commander's letter

(This post was last modified: 10-11-2017, 12:53 AM by W. Wallis.)

Dear all active personnel within the 4th infantry brigade

As you all are well aware, on the night of the 28th of October the 4th infantry brigade came under an unprovoked attack. At this point in time, estonia has been swamped with russian troops, almost all major towns and cities have been captured. The mission of the 4th infantry brigade, along with the 3rd (Danish army) reconnaissance brigade, will be to eliminate the current hostile threat in the region.

It is believed that the force which attacked the 4th infantry brigade was  the 76th Guards Air assault division. Their mission will likely be to eliminate what remains of the NATO presence in the area. Due to the location in which the 4th infantry brigade has been pushed to, land air, and sea resupply will not be possible. Finnish navy ships were able to confirm this when a russian navy destroyer sunk one of their patrol vessels.

In a letter from first sea lord Sir Philip jones, he confirmed that every effort is being made to break the naval blockade, HMS Bulwark, HMS Sutherland, HMS Dauntless, and HMS Richmond are all currently en route, with the american sixth fleet also on its way. Efforts are also being made to get HMS Queen elizabeth out of sea trials, and in operation to support the royal navy’s efforts to break the blockade. The no.1 Assault Group & 30 Commando IX Group are currently embarked on HMS Bulwark, and will be deployed to support the 4th infantry brigade when the blockade is broken.

Satellite imagery has also confirmed that the 2nd Guards ‘Tamanskaya’ Motor Rifle Division are currently building strength to cross the border into estonia to support the paratroopers, these troops are expected to cross in the following weeks.

At this time, all troops are to do their utmost to conserve and maintain their equipment for as long as possible. A full battle plan will be sent to the current acting commander of the 4th infantry brigade in the area, Captain W. Jamison.

Best regards

The 4th Infantry Brigade is the biggest British unit to Arma 3. Our infantry represent 2nd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment. A Light Role infantry which is one of the British Armys adaptable battalions. We are equipped with Foxhound Protected Patrol Vehicles allowing us to travel quickly across any terrain, closing with and engaging the enemy.
