Best specs for arma 3 |
Hey guys coming out of the op today I ran a whopping 4 fps with maybe 29fps top at best. I was hoping to get the people with the best fps while running big operations ideas on best hardware to run arma 3 smoothly(relatively).
60 fps client side, maxed settings.
i7-4790K 5.0Ghz GTX 1060 ARMA uses single core so you are looking for a CPU with a decent result for IPC (Instruction Per Cycle/Clock.)
CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Six Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.0GHz/19MB CACHE/AM4) Graphics Card: 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060 Mid-tier stuff, not the most expensive (Paid £885 from PC Specialist for a brand new PC). I still reliably get 55fps dropping to about 40/45 if there's a lot going on with maxed out settings. You can always drop V-Sync and particles/bloom etc to gain frames.
All you need is two Pigeons and a Hamster fixed on Mountain Dew, Worked for me so far. xD
I second Yate's Suggestion.
I5-8400 6 Core running at 3.9ghz, Msi Gtx 1080 gaming x 8gb, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro Ram 3000Mhz. Never seen over 60fps to be honest online. Unfortunately Arma is that poorly optimised you can still have poor performance with even the most expensive components.
Well the only thing we can currently hope for is that after DayZ SA gets proper mod tools there will be Arma mod for it so we can finally enjoy Arma with stable 60 fps.
Or just look forward to arma 4 on the new engine, we will probably see something regarding arma 4 next year as its already overdue.
How old is your PC.
Remember arma3 was released in 2013 was in alpha from 2011ish I think. Reg #20151433 is right for the 32bit exe but 64bit is wheres its at. With a few tweaks to your system Im sure I could get you more frames at least to a playable level. What are your specs.
