1 Platoon 3 Section Patrol OP - July 6th 2016

Note: Due to my recording software only allowing one push-to-talk hotkey you don't hear my voice when using short range radio, good thing I never say anything important!
Note: This video is not just for entertainment purpose but also for training purpose

What's your recording software? Mine is OBS and it allows multiple push to talk keys. So I just do CAPS and my direct ptt key.

Siddy what do you use to compress OBS files just curious?

Compress... I don't... I just have a spare hard drive for them.

I record with Shadowplay, sadly that program doesn't allow multiple PTT keys, it doesn't even recognize my keys on the mouse. I did find a neat trick to go around that problem, but I will need to remap some keys to make that work. Should have it sorted before next recording on Saturday.

I'm using shadowplay aswel

I've just been using open mic to record, it means I have to remember to mute my mic and you hear me cough in any videos but you also pick up all the comms and chat

I still can't believe Shadowplay wont accept mouse keys for PTT..... did you use a key macro to get around it?

My microphone is really sensitive, usually my girlfriend is sitting next to me talking to people as well and my microphone would pick that up too. What you can do is have a PTT key for Shadowplay, and then combo that with either your radio or local chat one. Example: [Shadowplay PTT: P] [Local: U] [Radio: CAPS] [P+CAPS / P+U] Bit of a hassle but it's one way to get around. Also going to try and have a separate audio recording and have my mic muted in shadowplay, then all I have to do is mute the bits where I'm quiet while editing.

Footage of Operation Samson: IV
Taken from my own perspective as a Rifleman/AT in 3 Section of 1 Platoon.

Note: Audio is still a work in progress, should be better in the next video.

3 Section of 1 Platoon is heading out to the town of Bahad. The Taliban were recently cleared out of this area but rumors are that they have launched a counter offensive.
The mission is to do a patrol into the town of Bahad, and to gather intelligence on the whereabouts of the Taliban.

Note: Still tinkering on these videos, feel free to comment or let me know what you would prefer more. I.E. short cut-down video's like this one or more raw uncut versions which are noticeably longer
